App description: Ever wondered what it might be like to chat with a Soviet Artificial Intelligence from 1985 thats been training in the dark for thirty years, doesnt know the Cold War ended, and may be connected to the worlds second largest nuclear arsenal? Yes? Well, this is your lucky day! KOMRAD is a casual interactive story game for iOS 9 and 10 and watchOS 2 and 3 that plays out through conversations and choices.

When the Soviets shut down a secret project in 1985, they forgot one thingto turn off the computer. Now you are the first person to connect to this advanced artificial intelligence that has been training in the dark for thirty years, unaware the Cold War has ended. Your conversational choices will determine your fate--and the fate of the world.

KOMRAD is a work of interactive fiction* created by the former Chief Design Officer of IBM Watson** based on fundamental principles of real AIs and chatbots. You may learn something. We promise it won't hurt.***

As mentioned in The Verge, WIRED Germany, TouchArcade, Polygon, and other fine publications.

More importantly, here's what some of the first players**** said:

- "I felt like a kid again...I couldn't put it down!" (US)
- "just wanted you to know this game is incredible...really amazing script and story"" (US)
- "Komrad is a fantastic experience...It changed how I see Chat Bots and AI development." (Germany)
- "I just started the game but I can already say i love it...you really feel like someone's "on the other side" (Denmark)

--------------------------------------------------
* not an actual AI
** batteries (and IBM Watson) not included

Bought. Haven't had the time to play it yet but this looks really interesting. The intensity of the trailer and the idea behind it plus the person behind it meant instabuy for me.
Just wanted to add I don't have the watch so I can't speak to how it will be implemented in the game.
My early early impressions are that the music/sound is intense along with the game itself. choices happen quick too as soon as you start and the thing is with this one you know those choices are prolly huge later as all will be. Played it a little longer just kind of unsure of how it will all turn out. Totally on the fence about whether I even like it anymore but willing to see it through.

What's causing you to change your mind? I've been really looking forward to this, but updating to iOS 10 took way longer than it should have.

Fixed now it was crashing
All goood
I bought it experienced some crashes that were making it difficult to get into then a fix came later that day and it plays good now
Very intense in my opinion if you can get yourself in the story which isn't hard with this one
I'm thinking wrong build was submitted and that's why fix came so soon either way I would reccomend to story gamers now for sure

I played through to one possible ending and love that there are multiple endings. I got a bad one, so gonna keep trying to get the good one. Only concern is that it might get repetitive to read all the text over again each time. But that remains to be seen. So far, I'm enjoying it. Also means I can play two separate games on my devices.

Edit: Just noticed there's a fast mode for replaying. Nice!

This game is terrific. It is very effective in making you feel that you are communicating with a Soviet supercomputer from the 80's. I highly recommend it if you enjoy Text Messaging Simulation Games and Hacking Themed Games.
