Great! Looking forward to trying this.
Are battles tactical?

It looks similar to them 2 other space battle/tactics games.... can't think of the names

Ones where you have a station and can upgrade it to defend/fight against the incoming attacks

There was an open beta for quite a while, several pages of impressions in that thread:

Since the beta test, we've taken a great deal of informative feedback and incorporated them into the game:
Some of the updates are:
1. More turrets/active skills to equip your ship in addition to shield, boosters and plasma flare.
2. Reduced the narrative by a fraction and added voice over for tutorial and prologue, etc
3. More missions and survival mode

Nah not Orion... it was released earlier this year, and was a follow up to their game before.
Wish I could remember what it was called

Tried it. Didn't like it.

Lots of 'nice' hi-res graphics with cool laser/plasma effects but that's about it. Personally speaking (and I appreciate everyone's take is different) it's a cross between an idle clicker and a TD game, guns shoot automatically so apart from tapping where you want to move and hitting the 'upgrade' button as collected resources permit, there's not much else to it. Didn't strike me that there was any real strategy, deepth or sense of involvement.

The narrative and script is OTT sci-fi cheese (think Starship Troopers meets Days of Our Lives!) with no sense of irony, so it just grates - and the voice overs........words don't do it justice. Am-Dram is an understatement. What a surprise that the beautiful blonde (and well endowed - not to mention genetically mutated) Commander is the God-daughter of the Fleet Admiral......or some kind of cliche along those lines. Yawn.

Sorry if this appears harsh - I had higher hopes for this but it's left me with little in the way of positive praise. Others may be less critical but personally, really underwhelmed and unimpressed. Already deleted and if the IP lingers in my memory, it won't be for good reason!
