App description: Play a piece of gaming history with the original Mega Man, the action-packed classic platformer!

In the year 200X, six robots created by master roboticist Dr. Light are tampered with by the evil genius Dr. Wily, and go on a destructive rampage! Only one robot remains who can put a stop to Wilys plans and restore world peace: the heroic Mega Man.

WHAT IS MEGA MAN
The original Mega Man captivated users at the time of its release with its challenging gameplay and innovative concept of taking the weapons from your enemies, then using them to exploit weaknesses in the bad guys yet to come.

MODES
This version features a choice of two difficulty modes.

Normal Mode - (Unlimited continues) The continue screen is displayed whenever Mega Man dies. Selecting Continue allows you to restart from the last checkpoint you passed in the current stage.
Hard Mode - This challenging mode limits your number of continues, and enemy attacks deal more damage. There are also fewer checkpoints within stages.

OPTIONS (The following settings can be adjusted in-game.)
Sound - Increase the number to raise the volume.
Vibration - Set to "On" to have your device vibrate when Mega Man takes damage. (Default setting: On) Note: This option will not be displayed on devices with no vibration function.
Attack - Auto: Hold the attack button for rapid-fire Mega Buster shots. Manual: Each press of the attack button fires one Mega Buster shot. Tap repeatedly for rapid-fire shots.(Default setting: Auto)
Speed - Choose between Normal and High to adjust gameplay speed.
Key Config - Change position of the in-game attack button and jump button.

GAMEPLAY TIPS
Search Elec Mans stage for the Magnet Beam, which lets you place platforms wherever you like! To access the Magnet Beam, youll need to defeat Guts Man and get his weapon, or defeat Elec Man and play through the stage again with his weapon.

i've just got this and i can surely say that controls are really bad, the port is similar to the old Mega Man II by Beeline (still available in the store, still installed in my device), but controls... wow, they are much better on the old one.

What the blimmin' heck?!?!?!
Was this developed in about 2 hours using Adobe AIR or something similarly crap?

Capcom, surely you can do better than this.
This runs at something like 15 fps. Absolutely appalling.
Glad I only bought MM1!

In this day and age, to release a simple 2D side-scroller with such poor performance is baffling.
They should have hired the Venture Kid team to port MM.

I can't believe this was put out by the same company that released MHFU... the gulf in quality is phenomenal.

Well...I noticed while playing there are unlimited continues and I'm gonna need em' with these horrible controls 😐
The touch d-pad isn't smooth/responsive as I'd hoped.
Even the choppy frame rate doesn't bother me; it wouldn't be classic megaman without it 😂
Was gonna pick up all six for my phone, but I guess I'll wait and see if Capcom fixes the controls.

Edit: ok, I have to admit as terrible as the controls are I find myself going back to play...
It's MEGAMAN for crying out loud!!!
The old 8-bit gamer in me says I have to beat this again 💪🏽

So... I suppose I have to ask.

Is there Internet requirement?

Because Apollo Justice did, even though presumedly people can already pirate the DS game.
🤔

And these would be just as pointlessly customer-harming if they did it here.

What they did is beyond illogical. No logic exists.

And Internet requirement in single player games is illogical anyway.

And [insert rant about gaming being ruined by stupidity].
😤

So do these single player games requirement Internet to play?
😓
I hope they aren't doing this again...

Cut speed up to high and at least on 6 the frame rate was much better and very tolerable

Hahaha; no internet required 😂

Oh Megaman, I can't be mad at you especially over $2. The nostalgia alone is forcing me to learn how to use these wonky d-pad controls.
Hoping to best Dr Wily tonight!

Guess I'll just skip this and reinstall an emulator.
Really is extremely pathetic but what we've come to expect from Capcom.
Oh well as most of these company's that started coin operated are showing they are just out to nickle and dime you and don't actually care about the quality of product they shit out.
I would say for shame but this is capcom we're talking about, the same guys who cut out every scrap of unlock able content from SFV only to try and sell it all back to us as DLC.
