I got an idea 4 devs

Anyone with an xbox or a fairly good of has played morrowind, I think an iPhone version is possible, two on screen toggles for moving and aiming a on screen button for attacking a on screen button 4 menu where u can swap wepons or switch to using magic, and one interact button to pickup items and talk to people. The graphics of the iPhone could handle it and I think it would sell 4 $20 easily.
Thanks 4 reading

You don't really think the biggest issue in getting Morrowind to iPhone is the mapping of the controls, do you?

Well it doesn't have to b as big as morrowind it could b like 1/4 size of map all the items don't have to be there and the graphics could b a little worse, the draw distance could be like 100'. I just wanna play a similar game like that on my iPod

And then you'd still pay $20? Right!

There's only a couple of higher priced games that were worth it, like HoS - so much fun!

As huge a fan or Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 I may be, the Touch platform has a loooooong way to go before it's capable of anything like that. We need to stick to our top down 2D RPGs for now.

Its going to be really tough to convince an indie dev to make an RPG with substance. Personally, given how Fieldrunners, iFart, iChopper (or whatever its called) and other games (not including SimCity & Rolando), are doing, I (as a dev who wants to make money) would lean towards doing simpler more visually appealing games than something with more depth.

This is just from what I seen of the market. You guys at TouchAracde are a very small group that seem to appreciate games with substance though. But the bigger market (those who like iFart and the like) will not want to pay the money for the deeper titles you want.

Having said that, a bigger company with enough marketting can give you that in-depth RPG game. Only thing is would they still make enough money to do it again. I guess time will tell.
