It looks too good to be true. Does it even approximate an actual Civilization game on the PC? eugenemcardle Well-Known Member May 21, 2013 357 9 18 Retired, Math/Science Teacher, Air Force Electron Redcliffe Queensland Australia #5 eugenemcardle, Mar 18, 2017 Very like a simple version of civilisation. Not as intuitive as civilisation but still a reasonable little game as far as goes. Haven't spent long without, maybe an hour so far, plays fine on my iPad pro latest iOS. Definitely worth a look at if you enjoy the genre. adillo13 Member Apr 11, 2009 13 0 1 #6 adillo13, Mar 18, 2017 I'm going to give it a go. I love 4x and am so disappointed with Civ Rev 2. I hope the AI is somewhat decent. ludka33 Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2013 217 0 16 #7 ludka33, Mar 19, 2017 Looks a lot like Civ I. That's a good thing! I'm going to give this a whirl. Edit: only iap are donation iap. So, full game, no unlocks. What's not to love? JahPE Well-Known Member Apr 8, 2016 74 0 6 #8 JahPE, Mar 19, 2017 Ikr, the such a great game! I was interested in it because it looks like a Civ 2 throwback, which is awesome. I played Civ 2 pretty extensively for three or four years. I know the map of europe like the back of my hand. Not to mention the game doesn't teach u how to settle a city... korossyl Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2013 267 0 16 #14 korossyl, Mar 20, 2017 What disappointed you about CivRev 2? adillo13 Member Apr 11, 2009 13 0 1 #15 adillo13, Mar 21, 2017 I really didn't see much of a difference between one and two. I remember being frustrated by many of the bugs in Rev1. When two came out I quickly bought it thinking that the changes would be as momentous as the changes in each edition of the Civ pc series. But it's pretty much the same thing. The kicker for me was the same bug in each game: the inability of NPC leaders to notice other NPC leaders, even ones right next to them. This destroys the entire diplomacy section of the game. The fact that the exact same major bug is in both games really makes me wonder about the effort that went into Rev2. That bug is still there today, even after a few updates. It's impossible not to miss this bug unless you don't care much about your product. I hate to sound harsh, but I love the pc series, as I'm certain many people at Touch Arcade do. Hopefully this will fill that void. mertcanmirza Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2013 86 0 0 #16 mertcanmirza, Mar 21, 2017 Hmm make something like this but with multiplayer (not a coc clan) then I will glady download and play adillo13 Member Apr 11, 2009 13 0 1 #17 adillo13, Apr 5, 2017 Been meaning to comment on the game but life interferes. So far I like it. Load times could be faster. The developer actually just addressed my biggest early complaint: units now have auto explore. Hope to play more of this in the coming few days. Unstablefan Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Feb 22, 2013 858 12 18 #18 Unstablefan, Nov 8, 2017 It seems that this game has been renamed World of Empires and MASSIVELY improved. Only IAPs are tips for the developer. The interface is a little quirky, but I am going to devote some serious time to it while commuting...this might be the answer to my frustration that Civ Rev is not iOS 11 compatible! Really excited to have rediscovered this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Do you already have an account?
