Dungeon Tails Heart Star Malevolent Machines Miss Fisher and the Deathly Maze - EP. 1 Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet Postnight Stagehand: A Reverse Platformer Thirteen Souls: Martial Arts Fighting Voyageur
Hey guys. Some of you may have noticed that I posted last week's GotW poll sans nominations. I've done the same this week, too. I feel that at least for now, this is the way to go. I'll be using the Hot New Games list to choose the games, as well as other things. Forum interaction, user ratings and such. If there's game that isn't in the poll that you think should be, tell us about it in here and it I'll consider adding it to next week's poll. Anyways, this week's poll is live so get voting. As always, you're encouraged to discuss your vote. Thanks. Edit: Sorry guys, I forgot to make the vote public, AGAIN. Shame on me.
Heart Star for me. Good pixel graphics, perfect controls, nice fun factor. A little short but otherwise a solid candidate.
Hi Andy, the two best games this week for me are Link Twin and OK Golf, so don't know if you could add them or what ha ha sorry for the inconvenience. Nevermind voted for Heartstar.
As usual, I'm fairly handicapped by how few of them I've actually played. That said, Heart Star is a delight. I really liked Tiny Dangerous Dungeons, and I've followed Jussi Simpanen's games ever since. His platforming design and controls have always been good, so it's great to see him add a neat puzzle mechanic like this one. Super game. And, TBH, I quite like the fact that it's bite-sized. It makes a nice break from the Aralon RPG playalong...
Dungeon Tales overall ...although 13 Souls has been impressive (at least in the combat portion of the game).
Yes, that's a bit of a trouble. If you want to learn more about Nelly Cootalot here are two hilarious videos on YouTube: Trailer here: https://youtu.be/nF_l7eYx0hg Original launch trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcLiCFBgwpQ&feature=youtu.be Totally worth it.
I voted for Postknight. It's really hard to put down! Great casual RPG with so much to unlock and discover. Looks great, sounds great, quick sesh or long, doesn't matter. Cloud saves and tons of leaderboards amongst other things are just some of the highlights of my GotW. I had a real tough time deciding between Postknight and Heart Star. It broke my heart but I had to choose. I still like Heart Star just as much but in a different way - the flow and difficulty in HS are perfectly suited to my taste. Like Jared mentioned in his article, "This was one of the tougher weeks for picking a Game of the Week, as there were several titles under consideration that were all wildly different from each other and stood out for wildly different reasons." ...which brings me to my third contender, Dungeon Tails, an excellent looking/playing adventure game that I've only had a couple hours to play. Still feel it's super-solid and worth a download. Thank you, Andy - feel free to DM me here or on Twitter @Mike_AKD if you ever need anything. Same goes to anyone else
Is anyone else even playing stagehand? What in the h@$& seriously lol. I cannot believe not a person is playing this game. I know toucharcade is almost known for not playing playformers but this one is so unique and blows minds. Also ARE THEY POSTING the games of the week on the MAIN PAGE each week?
What a narrow win for Dungeon Tails! Voted Postknight myself, but still a worthy winner. Thanks again Andy, look forward to next week's vote! Not at the moment, but at the very least we'll have a round-up of the Game of the Week winners for February before the Game of the Month vote goes up to push it further and hopefully get everyone involved
