I think that the psp and 3ds versions are much better. I've played monster hunter games on all 3 platforms you mentioned and I think my favorite would be on the 3ds. Specifically monster hunter 4 ultimate. I've had a couple hundred hours in a variety of games in the monster hunter series. This monster hunter on iOS is fantastic if you want monster hunter on your phone. They did a great job making it accessible and playable. It's a steal at the current price. The only reason to get this is if you want it on a phone. If you want to play a monster Hunter game and you have any of the other platforms, I would suggest getting it on those instead.

I'm not going to argue against MintCity's personal preference for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, but comparing MHFU with MH4U isn't really a fair comparison. This is an excellent version of MHFU, with a very smart use of the touchscreen for the virtual controls. But as Amenbrother says, EP is the expert.

The MHFU thread on this forum is over 640 pages long - despite the fact the game was out of action for more than a year. That pretty much speaks for itself.

I wouldn't compare this to the new gens as that's totally unfair but if you compare MHFU to it's same counterpart of PSP, I think many would agree this one is just a lot better in so many ways. I think you'd be missing some exclusive outfits but that's about it. The controls are better imo (no claw handing) and the graphics are sharp, not a huge battery drain, etc. So much praise for a port coming from me.

TOP5: Chaos Rings 3 / Monster Hunter Freedom Unite / Kingdom Rush Series / Never Gone / Steam World Heist

AFAIK, of all the games released in the Monster Hunter series in both consoles and handhelds/mobiles, MHFU is actually the hardest of them (Plesioth hip check etc). Later releases like MHGen made it actually easier but the challenges are still there.

Nope. Nope. Nope. I have played the game for a huge chunk of my life, but still no expert. LOL

EDIT: Peer pressure pushed me into replying to his post. LOL
