I'm always game for a new CCG, so long as it isn't a vapid gacha game.

Downloading now.

Haven't seen a gacha system yet.. This game is unique first time I am seeing such game. For a ccg game it does seem there's lack of strategy involved.. It's more of luck and whoever has the better cards
You can't control how the cards are played.
The good thing u can finish 20 games here before u complete one heartstone game. 😂

Shadow Era is a great card game, especially for f2p players. Shadowverse was a good choice as well.

Yeah, so this is a another vapid auto-battle game. No strategy at all, just collect cards and the game does everything for you. Real dumb.

If you are looking for a great CCG with actual depth, that isn't Hearthstone, I suggest one of the following, they are all good-great. The top three are my current favorite and each offers very different mechanics.

Krosmaga
Faeria
Elder Scrolls Legends
Shadowverse
Shadow Era
Plants Vs Zombies Heroes
Mavenfall
Eternal
Earthcore

There was a time I would have put Solforge on that list but the game is pretty much dead. Still, there are a ton of options out there for CCGs that are worthy of you time - and hundred for each one of those that are total junk.

For depth of strategy, polish, a healthy meta and balanced competitive scene, and/or prospects of long-term support and expansion, The Elder Scrolls Legends is likely your best bet for now. Faeria and Eternal good runner-ups*, though the future of either is likely a good bit less secure without the backing and investment of a monster like Bethesda, as evident in the front-page App Store feature for Elder Scrolls Legends. (This is the one area where the popular Shadowverse has a leg up on most competitors.)

* The upcoming Duelyst might also be a strong contender (and the beta is a very pleasant on mobile experience already), if Counterplay are willing to veer a bit off their current course and make different design decisions for upcoming expansions.

Not "wrong". But oh, the paragraphs that could still be written TL;DR, in comparison to the titles above: simpler mechanics, an outspoken design focus on RNG and big, unpredictable moments (as opposed to a competitive scene and the kind of balanced meta that follows, and that benefits even the casuals players who prefer skill over random), and a limited design space (mostly a result of above-mentioned limitations).

I'll disclaim my summary by reiterating that I don't really don't think there is anything directly wrong with Hearthstone. It's an extremely polished game in some regards, and a great game in many others. And for what Blizzard seeks to achieve, it is a massive and well-deserved success.

But the design choices I mention above are some of the more recurring reason many CCG fans like me find Hearthstone very hard to invest in.
