Seems like it's a carbon copy of the Game of War type of games just set in a different time.

If I remember rightly it used to be a facebook game? Not bad, not the best. Something to kill the time this one.

Zynga are indeed going back to its roots as it were and redoing what was indeed one of their first big facebook games in the "golden days" of Zynga. Should be noted it was a carbon copy of mob wars of which they took Zynga to court over copyright in which Zynga had to pay out.

This be the third Mafia Wars they done as the sequel Mafia Wars 2 was pulled from the app store in 2012 when Zynga started losing money fast.

BTW you should check your audio before posting...its dead quiet

The lawsuit story is interesting, especially given Mob Wars is far from the first to do this type of game. I remember playing this online with friends in high school in 2000 when it was called Pimp War. And that was based on a mid 80's DOS game called Drugwars/Dopewars. Mob WARS clearly wears its influence on its sleeve, so it's surprising that it's capable of claiming ownership of this game design, and winning millions over it. I guess there isn't enough room for two mafia type social mmo's on facebook.
