I've played a game and enjoyed it, the interfact works fine and although it doesn't have all the touches the 360 version had it plays fine. The first thing I'd do though is turn on quick animations and turn off opponent comments as initially I thought the game seemed extremely slow.

OMG! Can't wait! I suppose it'll be available in the US store in a few hours? Catan is my favorite board game, and I'm simply thrilled at the thought of being able to play it any time I want. Wonder if it's similar to the PC version I've played and had so much fun with.

Way what a major let down.

Crap sounds like a pass and I was waiting for this really bad too. No wonder everyone was quiet cuz it blows. No seafarers, no Through the Desert, no Greater Catan, no volcanoes, no gold, no nothing. The cheap mobile phones got a better game than the iphone and that came out couple years ago I believe. Once again another offical port for iphone gets the it in the rear.

Can anyone compare this with Kolonists? Kolonists is less than half the price - is this worth that much more? Sounds like from the few comments so far that opinions are mixed.

I have both, and while Kolonists was fine, this is the real deal and it's quite good. I've now deleted Kolonists, since I can't see myself playing it anymore with Catan in full effect. I don't need Seafarers, Cities, etc. The original is fine for me...if they wanted to add expansion packs as DLC, that'd be cool, but I don't feel entitled to it. When I bought the board game, it was this version. The other games are expansions.

Downloading now. I don't mind that it's just the basic game, as that's all I've played in real life, so this hopefully will be good practice. Hopefully they will add online multiplayer in an update, as it's pretty weak that the only multiplayer mode is hotseat.

Nice to see this game is out, I never got into the 360 version much but I can see its appeal I just didn't like or completely understand a few things. I may give this a try though.

But the same company ( I think ) also released another board game on 360 that I loved which was Carcassone ( sp? ) that I would absolutely love love to see on iphone.
