Crashbots, A Shoot'm up Runner (By Neonchimp)

Hi Toucharcade, I'm back with a new game: Crashbots!

Take control of the latest line of robots and test their fighting capabilities, agility, and endurance in various arenas filled with dangerous obstacles, booby traps and enemies.

You can sign up for the beta at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...rm?usp=sf_link

Trailer:

The game has 2 different modes:

World Mode:
In this game mode you have to reach the finish line of each level before your battery runs out. At the end of each level you are awarded bonus points, based on your accuracy, finish time, stars collected etc.

There are currently 3 worlds in the game with each 25 levels. The final level of each world is a big boss fight.

Endless Mode:
In this game mode you have to run as far as you can before your energy runs out. As you unlock new worlds in "world mode" more challenges will be added to the endless mode as well.

Crashbots currently features 5 different robots. The robots can be unlocked by collecting all of their parts. The parts are hidden in the levels, and some are rewarded for completing missions. You can also upgrade your robots to improve their weapon system, armor and battery life.

Beta Update

Hi everyone,

Thanks for playing the beta. Based on the feedback I've made a big update to the beta, including a new world!
Here is some gameplay of the levels of the "Haunted House" world:

Quote:
Update v0.75

- Added a brand new world: Haunted House
- Tweaked the controls.
- Improved the performance.
- Added an option in the settings to reduce the visual quality, which will increase the performance on old devices.
- You can now play individual worlds in Endless Mode, as well as a mix of all worlds.
- Objects under crates are now hidden until the crate is destroyed.
- The "Forest" world now unlocks at 50 stars.
- The "Haunted House" world now unlocks at 100 stars.
- Redesigned the bonus score UI after finishing a game in Endless Mode.
- Added more energy pickups to the first levels.
- The first levels of the "Hangar" world have been tweaked to make them less difficult.
- Lowered the amount of coins needed to recharge your energy.
- The next/current mission is now displayed on the Game Over screen.
- Changed a couple of the SFX.
- The background shadows in the Hangar world are much cleaner now.
- Added some ambient particle effects to the "Hangar" and "Forest" worlds.
- Polished the UI.
- Lots of bug fixes.

Earlier Fixes/Improvements from other builds
- The movement controls have been changed. You can now move by using an on-screen d-pad.
- The "drag"-control is still available in the settings. I have also added a slider to change the sensitivity.
- Fixed a bug where the slide button wasn't properly working.
- Fixed an issue where the header buttons were not being hidden correctly after pausing the game.
- Rearranged some obstacles on the first "hangar" levels to make them a little bit easier.
- The Hangar world will now be unlocked once you complete the tutorial.
