Games with a lovely design feel...

Hi - this is the first thread I've started, though I've lurked in the forum for ages! Hi all...

So I was never really into portable gaming before getting the iPod touch (except for a small addiction to a phone version of Spore - the iPod version is a horrible disappointment by comparison, imo )

The games I've really loved are those with simple but beautifully-stylised, arty graphics, and a perhaps an element of abstract/innovative gameplay. I know that's a bit of a nothingy description and it's subjective anyway, but for me it's things like:

- Geodefense (+Swarm)
- Edge
- Galcon
- Unify
- Eliss
- Canabalt
- Zen Bound

I wonder if there are any hidden gems I might've missed that are in the same kind of ball park, that have a really strong design element to them..

On the whole I can't bear games which use the accelerometer or a virtual d-pad (my worst!) as their primary control however much I want to love them...

I would second this. One of the most polished and stylized games I've played, though it does use the accelerometer...
