Very, very tempted to TOFTT this one, but I really should wait for other people's impressions at that price.

One of the best and most complete strategy games back from the x86 era. I still remember how we can recruit generals, bribe / spy enemy, marry your child to other ruler's, let go / punish an offender, raise morale by campaigning around city, etc etc. I just loved it.

I haven't tried any of the newer incarnations though so I really don't know. Can we still do all those above plus participate in the war? doesn't look like we can from the screenshots.

Also, I'd love it if they spend a bit more time skinning the interface. Those buttons just look so.. standard. They could've made it feel more like ancient china, eg. Ancient Wonderland.

wow I remember playing this on my NES and was thinking about it the other night - how strange!
I used to love this game!
9.99 though... Can't afford it right now.
