Has anyone ever seen an 8 bit game with such graphics? I sure haven't.

I guess technically the characters themselves are truly 8-bit. Just basic blocky bits with a basic color palet (and no shading etc). But the backgrounds and special effects are definitely beyond 8-bit.
I've been having some fun with this. It could use a tutorial as there is a lot to do and upgrade and it's all a tad confusing (especially creating new combos from moves you've purchased). But all in all it's worth a download to check out.
