App description: NEW IN THIS VERSION: 14 new levels & OpenFeint integration!

Find most games offering more and more? In Minim you start with more but end with less, if you have the skill...

Obliterate molecules by combining connected atoms, reducing the subatomic matter to a single particle. Become a minimalist in no time with the newest puzzle-game sensation for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Hours of captivating gameplay guaranteed!

Test your skills against time and reason, all with the touch of a finger, in the all out marginalizing minimization of mathematical methodology! Can you clear all 50 mind-tingling levels?

*** How to play? ***
- Combine the numbered atoms that are similar in order to minimize the molecule until there are no atoms left!
- Tap and hold an atom until it is surrounded by a black halo. Then drag it to reposition and get a better perspective.
- Swipe the background with your finger to rotate the molecule to have a better look at the puzzle.
- Use the undo button in the bottom right to undo each of your moves, and retrace your steps back to the beginning of the puzzle.
- Use the Restart level feature and reconstruct the molecule back to the beginning.
- Beat the puzzles faster to earn valuable bonus points!

*** How to combine atoms? ***
Select connected atoms to merge them with one another. But wait! Not all atoms can combine with each other!

- Numbered atoms can only merge with another atom of the same number, and they produce an atom numbered one higher. So a (2) and a (2) will combine to make a (3), a (3) and a (3) merge to make a (4), and so on.
- Simple modifier atoms, such as (+) (-) (x) and () can combine with any numbered atom to create complex modifier atoms. So a (+) and a (3) merge to make a (+3), and an (x) and a (2) combine to make a (x2) atom, and so on.
- Complex modifier atoms, such as (+1), (-4), (x2) and (3) can combine with any numbered atom mathematically, ASLONG AS the resultant atom is between (1) and (10), and NOT a fraction or decimal.

I would like to know if there is one or multiple solutions to the same puzzle. And yes, it looks cool.

First Impressions

I can't believe it took me this long to play this game...

If you like retro games, this is a gem.

It's very simple, you play on an array of LEDs, you are a colored LED that can move back and forth on a line of white colored LEDs at the bottom.

Tapping to the left or right of you on the white line moves you one LED in that direction.

Images scroll downward from the top of the screen, and if you tap on a differently colored LED, you will change to that color.

Here's the challenge: running into LEDs other than your color (or white) will lose you a life. Running into LEDs the same color as you gain you extra points. (You also gain points just for surviving.)

The levels are themed and really neat, just having the levels scroll past would make for a good screensaver app. I found myself replaying trying to get to the next level just to see what the next theme was! The music is light techno, and sound effects are sufficiently old-school.

This game is great for short, intense sessions - the levels get hard quickly!

Things I would enjoy seeing in this app:

1) Faster movement: the left/right movement seems a little sluggish. Because of this after the first few (easy) levels I totally gave up on trying for bonus points and just going for survival. I like the one tap per move, but you should be able to move at least fast enough to match a diagonal line on the screen as it scrolls past.

2) A little more visibility of your LED. Since the colors are the same, sometimes I get lost as to where I am, this also makes it much harder to do back-to-back colors, maybe a "higher intensity" or even just a little glow around your LED would make this easier. (or some residual light on the adjacent LEDs, even just on the white line...)

3) Online scoring: a great addition to any game, even more incentive to get a higher score. (OpenFeint with Achievements would be my preference. )

4) I'd hate to get rid of the music, but this game just screams for a "Game & Watch" sound set where there is an audible tic each 'quanta' (every time the screen is updated, in this case each time the LEDs shift) For the ultimate experience, if the background music beat could be synced with the LED movements that would be awesome.

This is a very unique game with great style, I'm giving it 5 stars!
