I want to love this so badly, but feel like I'm fighting with the controls a little. Everything about this screams classic and takes me back to my youth.

I really like this dev. Played one of his other platformers Mahluk a lot

Paid to remove the ads. The graphics I love but the main issue for me is that you cant slide your finger from left to right on the buttons. You just keep going in the same direction. Contacted the dev about this in Mahluk but no response.

Still looks great but frustrating you cant slide your finger over the buttons

I paid for the iap. If the dev is listening, I'd like to request the option to swap the positions of the "jump" and "melee attack" buttons.

I always thought that this Dev has a big potential to make a top platformer (see his other games). So far i can't tell if this one stands out, because it's unplayable for me as it is. Sorry, but he keeps making the same mistakes (maybe only for me!) over and over.

As already written above, you can't slide between the left-right buttons, you have to lift your thumb to change the direction. A big no-go in my platformer books. And again, he offers no option to rearrange the jump/shoot/... buttons ourselves. Yes, i'm fighting the controls as well and not the enemies on screen. Very pity.

As soon as he (hopefully) updates these options, my money goes in his direction super quickly. I like his artwork and 8bit sounds.

My 2017 GOTY contenders...
Glitchskier, Slayaway Camp, Full of Stars, Steredenn, Arkanoid vs Space Invaders

I think Ive encountered a bug - I cant get past level 5 (the Eyog boss battle). I fight the boss and he explodes/dies when he reaches half of his health bar. I collect the coins and stuff he drops, the screen fades to black, and Im back at the level select screen. Level 6 is still locked, as if level 5 was still not completed.

I recently paid some coins to unlock the Mace, if it matters.

Like the other commenters so far, Im not thrilled with the left/right controls either - I sometimes instinctively slide my finger from right to left, or dont pick my finger up as much as I thought, wanting to change direction, but my character keeps moving right.
