For a certain kind of person

To hurt them.

Climb up an enormous mountain with nothing but a hammer and a pot.
Listen as I make philosophical observations about the problem at hand.
Between 2 and hours of agonizing gameplay, depending. The median time to finish for my playtesters was 5 hours, but the mean was closer to .
Lose all your progress, over and over.
Feel new types of frustration you didn't know you were capable of.

Hey everyone! I wanted to post about Bennett Foddy (QWOP)'s latest game Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy.

It's fantastic. I love it so much that I helped port it, and so can personally guarantee that the controls are great on mobile

I hope you guys enjoy it!

Wonderful news! It's been great on PC. Glad to read that the controls translate well. A must buy.

I got to the snake on PC and thought it was trolling me. Rode it all the way to the beginning. Haven't had the heart after hours getting up there to try again.

Saw an epic fail reaction to this game the other day on Facebook. Some kid loses his mind when he topples all the way back down. I'd never seen the game before so I was intrigued. There's a bunch of clones on iOS from what I saw. This is great to see yet another steam port come over. Thankyou very much.

it uses the same controls that the PC game uses if you're using touchpad (which Bennett actually thinks is the best way to play).

you can touch anywhere on the screen to control the head of the hammer. I find it super intuitive, it's why I wanted to port it to iPhone in the first place

I have a (probably impossible) request, but I want to share it anyway. I'd love it if this game supported portrait orientation. The way you control the hammer is super similar to the natural movement of your thumb.

I actually play in portrait already, with everything sideways lol, because it feels so much more natural than holding it with one hand and using the finger of my other hand. Yes, it breaks my brain because the gravity is going left instead of down, but I've sort of adjusted to it. But I can't help but think how amazing it would be to play it the way that feels most comfortable with everything oriented properly.

Don't know how hard it would be to implement, but just wondering if you've ever considered or heard other requests for it. IMO this game would be the ultimate one-handed portrait game.
