I would have posted a game play video if I could, but Youtube (and other sites like that) got banned in my country...

Excellent game. Purchased it on Sunday when it came out, it is now my new favorite game (for at least a month ).

Similar to Gold Miner game, it uses fishing and the open sea as its theme instead of a gold mine. The gameplay involves launching a swinging harpoon at the bottom of the boat and hooking the different size fish below. The key is the timing of the harpoon to hit the moving fish, and its very well executed. There is a catch goal on every fishing trip which adds to the gameplay.

Nice added feature is upgrading speed of the harpoon, harpoon depth, and other enhancements as you increase your cash from the catches. Also, different fishing areas can be unlocked, with different water conditions and fish.

Really nice little game, perfect for the ipod/iphone format......solid 8.5/10.

Everything is great so far, but something is keeping me from playing much further - if you don't meet the target for the fishing trip (catch goal or whatever you call it), you earn nothing and have wasted your time! You can spend a long time playing and not progressing at all. We should get a bonus for meeting the goal, but whatever catch we get, we should get to keep.

Or you could, you know, spend 99 cents and review the game also.

My reviewer name is "Wawd Buhton".

Having a catch quota is really a great idea. It adds to the replayability and gives you a goal to hit. Definitely worth .99 and more.
