Took me roughly an hour but it's well worth the cost.

It's a moving experience that captures the highs and lows of a first romantic relationship I find the ending a a bit pat and maudlin, but I guess the story isn't supposed to be 'grim' and 'realistic'--can't have everything end on a note of abject hopelessness.

thanks for the comments, everyone! yes, the game is pretty short, but hopefully that's because the game isn't wasting your time.

idislikejordan: thanks, i saw your video earlier today, really appreciate you taking the time to put it together, glad you enjoyed the game!

I can say that this is an interactive experience that must be had by all. The wordless activities bolstered by the simply beautiful line-work and artful iconography while traversing atop of the canvas of the captivating soundtrack is absolutely masterful. Apps like this remind me how fortunate we are to have creative storytellers who understand a language that transcends words and know how to capture lightning in our mobile devices (to borrow a phrase) in the form of Florence.

Looking forward to digging into this one on the plane this weekend. Bought it the second it came out but been saving it for a "play in one go" sesh.

Finished, and unfortunately I can only give it 3/5 score, and will hesitate to recommend to friends.

The artwork is quite good, story heart-warming (not epic, but worth reading), nice concept too. But the game is way too short and too simple (same reason I will only give Monument Valley a 4/5 score). I get it, it's a storybook so I don't expect very challenging game play. However, normally visual novel games should be longer, like I expect a couple of hours reading (with multiple ending). I would rather devs just drop the mind-numbing mini "games" and focus more on extending the story. The games seem to me like just stalling time to make the game feels longer.

Also a minor complain. The guy is just waaaay too hairy. Geeze he even has hair on his throat! He looks more like a hobo street artist than a cello player. I'm quite uncomfortable looking at him...
