App description: STORY
You play as Brad the Bardbarian, who is awoken to the sounds of his town under siege. Today is different though; Brad has grown weary of the Axe. The usual grind for XP has grown dull, and he has chosen to pursue his dreams of making music instead of shedding blood.

Fashioning a lute out of an old axe, he steps out to save his town in the most bizarre of ways.

GAMEPLAY
Use PRECISE CONTROLS to dodge incoming enemy attacks
JAM on your "axe-lute" to generate notes
Use notes to SUMMON FOLLOWERS or boost their stats
COLLECT GOLD to purchase upgrades and unlock the secrets of the townsfolk

Navigate your party through the hordes of enemies, dodging, stunning and attacking. Use your songs of Attack, Power and Speed to prevent them from destroying your town gem!

Oh, right on. I was actually just goin through my purchase history looking for this about a week ago.
Too bad I just spent the last of my iTunes credit on Balder's Gate II a few days ago. Gonna have to wait about a week to snag this, but it's great seeing it back in the store! And paid!! Woot woot!

So they didn't update their game to iOS 11 and now they want me to pay for it again? This is unacceptable.

Thanks to Boardumb for creating this thread, I was going to do it today, you saved me some time!

I just wanted to address some of the questions raised so far:

I already bought this game, where did it go, and why do I have to repay?
In 2016 our publisher BulkyPix went bankrupt, and stopped sending us any revenues for our game. After nearly 2 years, we were finally able to find the time to self-publish Bardbarian for iOS. It's a crappy situation, but we've done the best we can. If you have a copy of a previous purchase receipt, email me support@treefortress.com, and I'll hook you up with a download code.

This game was $0.99 at release, why is it $4.99 now?
When we first launched we had multiple IAP's in the App, and the game was balanced more as a grind. Our strategy at the time was to sell for a low price, and rely on IAP's for the bulk of revenues. That did not work, and we lost a lot of money on the iOS version. So, we've cut all IAP's, we've rebalanced the game for skill and action, and we've just set it at a fair premium price. The game is $6 USD on Steam for reference.

Why is this game on Sale on Android for $0.99!?
Sorry, that was a mistake from a sale setup months ago. Very unfortunate timing. I've cancelled the Android sale, but it may take a few hrs to propogate.

What are the differences in this new version?
We've rebalanced the game, increasing the payouts, the speed and the difficulty. It's now more fast paced, with a greater focus on skill. In addition, we've added 3 new indie unlockable characters, Meat Stack, Shellrazer and Octodad.

If you have a chance, please review the game, we need all the help we can get out of the gate.

Is there an issue with the current version and iOS11?

We were unable to update the previous version as our publisher went bankrupt, stopped returning emails and kept a bunch of our money. So, ya, not fun
