I never got the first one, but it looks good. Would I have to buy the first in order to understand and enjoy the second one?

Congrats on release either way.

So tempted... I didn't actually get very far in the first game, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Something about digging gets the excitement bells ringing.

@epedemix: I haven't played this one yet (obviously), but from what I can tell, this one basically includes everything the first game had and a whole lot more. There's no real backstory to miss out on so you might a well go straight for Expeditions.

The level of polish in Expeditions looks incredible. The first game is still in my personal top five of favorite iPhone games.

I'll be picking this up the moment it's in the store.
Congrats on the release!

WOW!!! What a nice surprise. I loved the first game. The graphics were wery polished and the gameplay was fun. I can't wait to get my habds on this one. Not showing in Australia yet. The first game was a lot of fun with "race against the clock" campaign, freeplay mode and numerous challenges. The devs then added a whole new campaign (centre of the Earth). I am sure to be posting my impressions because I am getting this game as soon as it hits the store.

I Dig It was one of those games that I bought, played initially for 5 minutes or so, then put away and forgot about. I tried it again a few weeks later and then discovered just how fun it actually was and played the heck out it. The best 99 cents I had spent in awhile.

I always wondered if it was going to get updated, its nice to see the title was not forgotten about and has been expanded. I look forward to picking it up.
