Could you comment on the controls as well?

hmm its much more linear than the quest, which is why i prefer it. i think it took me about 18 hours to beat tho.

if you like rpgs of any kind id buy it, it reminds me more of eye of the beholder than the quest does.

It was worth it at the full price. But you could always try the lite version.

I prefer Undercroft too, if I'm gonna play an open world RPG and get lost exploring here and there, I'd rather have it not be screen to screen movement, that kind of movement is more acceptable in a linear type game like Undercroft or maybe a dungeon crawler but its just too time consuming and slow paced in the Quest.

I think Undercroft is awesome. I've been playing for about a couple of weeks now and it's very fun. I like the fact that you can customize your group and the classes. I also appreciate that the puzzles are not all easy but there's a walkthrough included in case you get stuck. Undercroft is one of the few games I don't regret paying full price for.

Undercroft is an AMAZING game. I tried the lite back when it came out and immediately bought the full. I still personally prefer The Quest, but Undercroft is much better for it's quick playability. It sets you right off with stuff to do, and the controls come naturally. It is also a much more strategic experience, as you have multiple party members, and can customize each of them. However, the trade off comes with its limited world. It is very much linear, and pales in comparison to the massive amounts of exploration (and getting lost) that you can do in The Quest. However, I'd go for it. I think it was truly worth even more than it's original price, but if you were hesitant the price drop makes it a deal you can't pass up.
