Spooky Spirits: Puzzle Drop!! + Lite

Hi chaps, please allow me to introduce myself!

My name’s Dan and I’m who looks after the PR and community liaising for Legendo Entertainment.

Apologies if I've posted in the incorrect forum, I've been through the rules/AUP and believe I'm in the right place! If not, could a mod please move this thread to the correct section?

We recently released our first iPhone/iTouch game, Spooky Spirits: Puzzle Drop!! I've included the original press release on the footer of this post for those of you not familiar with the game I was wondering if any of you guys had given it a go and would like to share your feedback with me, how we could improve the game in the following updates etc.

The game, which offers game modes for all types of gamers, can be downloaded from:

Developed by the handheld specialists at newly founded Innogiant, Spooky Spirits: Puzzle Drop!!, will have players traveling the world, capturing runaway spirits in various fun and exciting game modes designed for puzzle fanatics and casual players alike. Having fallen asleep on their watch and lost the Spookies, Becky and Tim are banished and risk losing their spirit warden jobs unless they manage to recapture these pesky ghosts. The unfortunate duo must search haunted locations on Earth to track down the Spookies including the Sphinx of Egypt, a Haunted House in England and an abandoned crypt in Finland featuring none other than Dead Santa himself.

Spooky Spirits: Puzzle Drop!! offers a unique twist on the classic falling block and “match-2” gameplay format. In the game, players build and expand stacks of Spookies in any direction and in any amount.

Three Game Modes:

•In the Panic Mode, players must clear each level by catching an appropriate amount of Spookies before the screen overfills.
•Puzzle Mode is a relaxed mode with no stress – players must outsmart the Spookies’ clever puzzles and beat them in their own game using only a limited number of blocks.
•Eternity Mode is a Tetris-inspired exhaust mode that just keeps going for as long as players can keep it at or reach the max-score of 9,999,999 points (that’s A LOT of Spookies to catch!).
Touch Controls:

•Swipe the screen to control the game, left and right selects blocks, up swaps them and down drops them!
Spooky Spirits: Puzzle Drop!! can be downloaded from the Apple App Store via iTunes or directly from compatible handsets and costs $1.99 (Ł1.19 or €1.59).

Playing it now, preliminary is: Rather damn good! Wonderfully (cool word!) polished, animation is top notch. Really fun. You have to be rather fine tuned with your fingers. - The blocks aren't too big, but should be fine, no problem for me but, I don't have Johnny Lumberjack thumbs either... Anyway, It's a really wonderful first impression. Will come back later with a more indepth review...

From the screenshots and the above comment, perhaps there should be a portrait option to deal with the size issue? Haven't played it yet btw, but it looks fun!

I have now had this since it came out - in fact, it put me at my big 1000 games purchased.

I have a TON of Match 3 / Drop / Casual Puzzle games and this one has me very impressed.

This game is very different, very addicting, very beautiful to look at, VERY challenging (Especially on Panic Mode)
I have had to start level 2-2 over and over and over - BUT I Have to say it never got frustrating.

I can't add the time I jav

So meet Tim & Becky, well, one of them will be you, and I hope to heaven above it’s not Tim! – Apparently he has some Nasal syndrome that can’t for the love of anything keep the spirits in check around here! So Becky, that’s us, are on the hunt for loose spirits. – Thanks Tim!

Spirits like to play hide and seek and they apparently like nothing more than taking on the appearance of blocks, amongst other blocks, so we, have to beat the bejeezus out of bricks!

It really is, in all fairness a Tetris game. - It’s a new invention of a Tetris game, with some very cool features, but a Tetris game nonetheless. I used to love Tetris! – I could play that game come sunshine, winter, floods, war and alien invasions, didn’t matter as long as I had Tetris. I’m telling you; this is by far the best new way of reinventing Tetris I’ve seen so far! And I’ve seen quite a few

The new twist is how you see the blocks in the top of you screen. Here you can swipe up, to switch the colors left or right to fit the ones below. Swipe left or right and your selector will move along the line. Swipe down and the blocks will fall. The blocks below you will rise, first slowly then faster. - So you better make some color connections and free some spirits my friend!

You have three modes of play: Panic: Play at breck-neck speed! Puzzle: Play at a more relaxed pace! And Eternity: Play as long as you can! - And they are more or less self-explanatory... All in all; it’s some 70+ levels! So there should be enough for some serious quality time

Leaderboard is local and as you climb, you’ll have to beat such celebrities as Ivar Asimov & Jimmy Tolkien (I kid you not! Heh….) – I must confess, I really like this one, you can’t help but enjoy the feeling of finish this game offers. If there is one gripe, it should be the lack of online leaderboard, but maybe something for a future update perhaps?

Spooky Spirits: Puzzle Drop!! will set you back some $1.99 with the current price tag. To be honest I’m rather surprised it’s not twice that. - The polish, feel and just pure finesse of this one, could very easily warrant that. Highly addictive – Highly recommended!

Thanks guys, very kind words The landscape play had me worried at first, but it really does play beautifully. It's a game that I play sat in the car, waiting for my son to finish school. It helps the hour or so zoom by thankfully!

Plast2, thank you! Brilliant review. Do you have your reviews on any websites etc? If not, let me know and I'll get it uploaded somewhere. A review with such praise deserves to be seen by all!

I really am struggling here to get the game onto the major App reviewing sites, I have no idea why. Without for the want of sounding biased, it is a nice little game. Yeah ok it's not groundbreaking in any sense, but it's very playable, pretty and more importantly, fiendishly addictive!

I've tried IGN, GameSpot, this site and all the other major sites that I can think of and no luck what so ever!
