The AI has to be "smart" to make it believable. What if in motion a pack of enemies run and attack at the same time, with the same pattern, in step?

...
You mean like the train wreck game Dead Strike?

How should a Zombie/Monster act smart? I mean, they don't have a brain left or anything...

Thanks for the screenshots. I loved Dead Space but it was a little predictable and repetitive at times ( quarantine lockdown, kill monsters...), but you guys have the chance to capitalize on that aspect. Good luck!

Not quite sure what do you mean by monsters being "smart" but let me answer:
To the respect that i own to others developers (and correct me if I'm wrong), i dont think this kind of AI interaction was already experimented on survival horror tittles. Forgotten Memories AI bots, are able to avoid them self, avoid dynamic obstacles while keeping their target on sign, patrol an area, wander randomly, search, react to noises. I mean, we are almost giving game human intelligence to monsters.
Cheers,

You can't really compare the games, different types of survival horror.

Can you please stop complaining about Forgotten Memories? Wait till you play the game at least. Every time i see you, you are fighting others peoples games threads, specially games that you haven't even played or saw.

This game still heavy in development and we are improving/polishing each day. Dead Strike was in part developed by an other tier team and published by us and we learned from those mistakes. Forgotten Memories is fully developed by us and will be published by a big partner. If you have something to comment about other games, there's a specific thread for that. Otherwise stop complaining about Dead Strike in here, or I'll report to an admin.
Tank you,

Cheers,
I meant let's say 2 enemies attack....

Believable would be where they both attack differently from different sides. At different times.

Not believable would be where they move like twins. They walk the same at the same time and what not, like clones or something. That would be terrible.

From what you said about your AI, I'm hoping for believable.

But I'm going to assume no gameplay video this week.

1 - As already stated, enemies avoid any dynamic/static obstacles while maintaining a target, tanks to the powerful OpenSteer library. Forgotten Memories enemies can avoid and target virtually anything, not just the player, but also player allies and even other monsters! This means that if an other enemy is in front of him, he will try to find an other way to get to the target. If there's no other way, he will just wait till the only available path is clear (instead of trying to push). They are also able to avoid them self, avoid dynamic obstacles while keeping their target on sign, patrol an area, wander randomly, search, react to noises. A premier for an handled game, specially an Horror title.

2 - They share the same skinned meshes but they behave differently, have different speeds, different animations/poses/stance, different attributes/properties, etc. Take a closer look at the images, you'll see some differences in their poses/stances (though hard to tell based on those pictures but also animations).
There's a huge variety of enemies in this game, from very bizarre hellish creatures to humanoid monsters (as the one shown in those pictures). We already posted few monsters/characters pictures in early threads.

I'm sorry but we cannot post info, pics and videos on user request, when the times comes to release the game, people will actually know everything about it. This game still in heavy development, so we must be very careful, regarding when, how and what info we release to the public. Regarding the gameplay video, the last time I talked about it, i said, "it should be there this week". I'm not promising any exact date because there's a few users "like you" waiting for that kind of situation to start bashing/flaming/aggravating and perhaps making developers looks unprofessional to fans/gamers.
I saw you've tested Aralon, a nice game by Josh btw. Perhaps I'll suggest you to learn a bit more about game dev and specially behave/act like a real game tester does, respectful. Creating a game does take a huge time and effort. It deserves some respect.
But again, I don't see that much interest in your posts regarding Forgotten Memories, making false statements about a game you hadn't yet played (nor even saw it in action), so why should i release you a video?
Cheers,
