Publishers from iphone on Nintendo DSi

I noticed the other day, Castle of Magic was released on the Nintendo DSi, are there any other developers porting games over to the Nintendo's online marketplace?

If so, this must be a challenging task getting accepted as a 3rd party developer for Nintendo.

Anyone have experience with this? Just curious!

1. You need offices.

2. You need a publisher or you need to apply to be one also.

3. Coding for the DS is nothing like coding for the iphone.

Pretty cool, I'd imagine it'd be worthwhile to do the PSP Go as well

well -- worthwhile when people actually start to buy it

It might be worthwhile for the customers as well if the prices weren't about 1000% higher for the exact same games.

Good point but developers price as high as the market will allow - people expect to pay for more a Nintendo DS game. I also don't hear them saying that things should be free.

Maybe there's an untapped market of people that like iPhone games but own a DS and have plenty of disposable income

Very true. I suppose I was a little contradictory since I'm usually complaining about App Store prices being too low. I do think they should be higher, but I also think that barring any real differences they should be the same across all platforms, so it's a little strange to see how expensive some of the PSP minis are in comparison.

DSi Prices DSiWare

are more like 2-5-10$

So that puts them on par with iPhone app costs VS DS carts.

Sales are currently pretty good because there just nothing much out in the app store. Getting in on new markets is where you make on the MONIES!!!!

Why would you? The DS sucks...

Games I have beta tested: Minigore, Cogs, Guerilla Bob, Above and Beyond: Air Combat, Baseball Superstars 2010, 33rd Division, Cash Machine, 5 star General, Flick Football... Possibly some other ones I;ve forgotten

Only when you haven't found the true gems.

...which basically puts it on the same level as the App Store, tons of shit to wade through, but worth it when you find what you're looking for.
