I like the graphics style.

Too bad they couldn't have based this off of Talisman instead of Chutes & Ladders...

Oh, damn that brings me back... loved that game, have all the expansions and everything. If that came out as an app, I'd get an iPad just for it...

Dungeons & Dice is like TALISMAN...

I thought this game is very similar to TALISMAN,
and I found there are some like-minded people...

I agree totally with the following Thread.

---------------------------------------

As a matter of fact, Talisman must have been a big influence on this game, and I'll list a few similarities as evidence:

-There are now physical and spirit enemies
-You can land on a space that lets you hire a follower
-There are now multiple character classes with different stats and special abilities
-There is a limit to how many spells you can have at any time based on your INT stat
-There are various events on the board, like a thief that can steal gold, or spaces that can give you one or two gold
-There are various spaces now where you roll to see what happens (like the Thief mentioned above)

Game Impressions

Some quick impressions are...
The game is definitely addicting if you're interested in adventure board games. You start by picking a character and then heading straight into the game with little explanation as to how things worked. I'll go back and check later to see if there is some sort of guide or tutorial. So far I've figured out the gist of things (except for how combat rolls work) and things are going smoothly. Basically you roll a die each turn to move ahead that many spaces to see what you land on. It could be all sorts of things like monsters, treasure chests, gambling games, portals, items, inns, etc. When you defeat monsters you gain exp which can be used to train your character in between levels and with gold you can purchase items. I'm guessing before the updates this game was very simplistic, however now it's quite fun and easy to pick up and play (there's even three saves slots).

More later.
