Just look at ishoot - they released a free lite version and that led to the paid app going to no1 slot. Proves that for decent titles that providing a free lite version works.

Good thread.

Iron Man. There have been some positive comments on it, but also some negative. Would be nice to try before I buy.

All of them. Seriously, a demo is the #1 way to get me to purchase your game. If it has a good demo then I'll buy it. If it has no demo, then it has to compete against the other twenty games I'm probably interested in that "might be good".

Perhaps we ought to add a rule that "all of them" is not an option. I am sure many of us would agree with that. But what about any specific games you would like to play a lite version of?

Fair enough
I just bought 7 Cities last night, but had there been a lite version, I would have bought it a long time ago!

Edge intrigues me, as does Space Ninja.

OK, fair enough. I feel the more expensive the game, the more it needs a demo. I'm willing to risk $1 or $2 on a game that may not be that good, but I won't generally risk $4-6. Right now I'd say Edge and Dungeon & Hero are two I'd really like to see demos for.
