FREE: Play Depict, The Multiplayer Drawing & Guessing Game

NOTE: THE SALE HAS ENDED.
You can still get Depict for just $0.99.

-----

First, a big thank you to anyone who paid for the game already.

We've decided to make Depict free until there is a meaningful amount of people playing at a time. Depict is the most fun when you're playing with other people. We'd rather have people play for free than pay and not have anyone to play with.

It won't be free forever, so grab it quick!

While I should probably be upset that I paid for this and its free just three or four days later, I'm glad this'll actually provide an opportunity to play with others, since I haven't had any luck thus far.

Yeah.... we know...

Hind-sight is 20/20... Advice for other devs - you should release global multiplayer games for free!!! You (as a dev) can't expect to be playing 24/7 against the other people that bought it

Oh well. We know now.

To make it up to you guys we're also releasing our other games for free through the holidays.

Quick question... What effect does the star-rating have on the gameplay, if any?
I can rate other players' drawing anywhere fro 1 to 5 stars at the moment.
Does this have an effect on the player's "rating" somehow? Or are you merely gathering data on your side?

I know it affects if the images show up in single player mode. If they are rated 1 star, they shouldn't show up for you later. But 5 star rated images will reappear sometimes when you play a game by yourself.

In the bottom right corner you can see who drew the image. Usually meaning it was rated well in online play by other people previously.

Aah, OK, interesting... I think I only tried playing this game once for about half a minute in single-player mode. For me, the real fun in this game comes from playing live against other people.
So my original would still stand then, but I'd alter it slightly to ask if the star-rating system has any effect within online play?
