24 hour iPhone game - Extreme Ramen Challenge

We're making an iPhone game, starting at 6pm EST today (extended 1 hr!).
The design will be based around one word: 'Absurdity'

You're the designer.

Go.


Official Rules:

1. Post directly in this thread using the example template seen in the following post.
2. Game concept must follow the general theme of 'absurdity'. For examples of absurd game pitches see Offroad Velociraptor Safari or Enviro-Bear 2010.
3. This means the idea should not be a direct photocopy of a preexisting game.
4. Due to the 24 hour nature, game scope (or the complexity of the game) must be limited. Please do not pitch your awesome RPG / futuristic hybrid racing MMO today.
5. We will be choosing an idea that has a proper mix of the following adjectives: Crazy, fun, silly, compact, horrible, ingenious, and weird.
6. Anyone is eligible to post their ideas
7. Game concept does not need to stick to a PG or G rating. Feel free to express yourself.
8. Attach any concept art to the post (purely optional but will increase chances... (of being made fun of for using MS Paint))

24 hour iPhone game - Extreme Ramen Challenge

Game name: Super Ramen BROTHers

Short game concept: Your ramen brethren are being sold at the supermarket, like slaves. Stop the ramen packages from getting past the cashier's conveyor belt by swiping away any and all ramen that comes by. The fate of your kind is at stake.

Design notes: Top view, touch based input. Items spawn from the left with some percentage of food items being ramen. Swipe in any direction but right to make the ramen fly off the conveyer.

You are a boy scout trying to help old ladies across the street. Some are angry and don't want help, they hit you with their handbags, curse at you etc. Some are old and fall in the street. The are cars and other obstacles
to avoid, each with their own hilarity. Kinda like frogged but with old ladies being run down by UPS drivers or kids on big wheels.

I'll take rule #7 for this one :

You are a plumber trying to fix pipes, which mysteriously keep breaking, to direct some dumps which people are taking in different apartements so that they land in the ummmmm compacter, along the way there are bugs, like giant dung beetles and cockroaches, and animals like skunks and cats which try to eat the scat, so you have to make sure not to send the crap at them.

you are a comic strip. you are created and put in every sunday news paper funny section. you dream of the day you will get to be in color like spiderman.
you have fantasy's of kicking spider mans brother blackwidow!! which will always fail cause all you do is make your one joke in your little spot in the corner of the paper no one looks at. you feel neglected. you comes to terms with your mortality and make a deal with the printer that you will give him something so special if he will ignore the editors typical script.. he makes the deal with only one stipulation. you must stick with the comic news strip feel, however, you can to come alive in small mini action games. you are free to use any super power that has ever been put in a sundays news paper. you have no friends or foes yet you are your own comic now tread lighty you do not want to piss off the wrong comic strip character he may come back to stab you in the back. will you abuse your power and take over the rest of the comic strips, or will you play nice and interact with them. in the end al you want is to have a final battle with black widow.. with the super powers and whit you develop along your path/jounry through comic strips.

ok, i fail. laughs. always thought it be neat to have a book that comes to life in sections.. not seen anything like that in the app store. sure would make a novel more interesting.. you know you reading about the drag race the guy has.. well instead of just reading it, you get to actually do it, and your results alter the books out come. good luck guys im sure some of you are way creative and can come up with something kick butt!!

Game name: Procrastination Nation

Short game concept: You'd much rather be doing absolutely anything other than writing that dreaded paper, but it must get done. Destroy all distractions that fly onto the iPod screen with the tap of a finger. However, do not touch your paper! You wouldn't want that to explode too, now would you?

Design notes:

The game's background is a desk and different objects will appear on this desk throughout gameplay. Distractions such as, kittens, action figures, computers, portable gaming systems, food, and other things, must be tapped on as they appear on the desk in order to destroy them. They will explode after being touched and disappear. As time goes on, more objects will be on the desk at the same time, so you must hit them quicker.

The game ends when either too many distractions are on the desk or if you click on a paper representing a report (this paper would randomly appear on the desk and then go away on its own after a few seconds).

haha so excuse my awesome drawing skills...but basically the game would just take place on a brown backdrop with the objects appearing on the desk and then exploding when clicked.

How about a sidescroller of fighting deranged toys? The background could be of the alphabets and you are getting attacked by dolls, lego, blocks, tinertoy, jack-in-the-boxes, clowns and teddy bears. The main character could be a baby and they are just trying to make it through the day without making the babysitter mad. Each new and unlocked level will have new weapons: pacifier, rattle, bottle... (each of these items have special abilities for emergency situations like the pacifier blinds the mob, rattle shoots out lots of tiny plastic peices that hurt the villians and the bottle causes a flood which washes the bad guys away).
At the end of each round, baby has to find his way through a maze of dead toys to get back to his bed on time (as sort of a bonus point round). There could be all sorts of unlockable content too (aside from the new levels and the new toys/weapons), like new wall patterns, new outfits for baby, and some abilities for baby (like jumping and scratching). Ok, I tried! (inspiration - family over for the holidays )

I love this idea and name! What about if instead you are the Ramen BROTHers and you have to keep from bing scanned by jumping over food and house items being rung up, and each item rung up gets you points. If you hit an item it gets knocked off and you get knocked back a little. If you get knocked back to far you get rung up and bagged. They are seperate so you click either one to make them jump. The only way to make up for being knocked back is by collecting soy sauce packets that randomly appear coming down the conveyer. Every now and then the cats head pops up and lets you know a paw will try and swipe you soon (which you have to jump as well) The soy sauce can only be consumed by one brother so you may have to avoid it with the first so the second can get it. This would be a run and jump side view game.

the more ithink about this. this type of challenge would be perfect for some kind of twisted adult swim concept. im sure 5 mins to kill your self only took them 24 hours. LOL
