App description: Rubble Muddle brings you a new explosive and fully charged twist to 2D matrix puzzles. In Rubble Muddle, you have to detonate your way through ever changing heaps of rocks in order to bag valuable mixed up jewels and prizes. You need frenetic pace and unique ability to skillfully shift the rocks into bigger clusters before blasting them for maximum points. Rubble Muddle stand out as being one of the most compelling puzzle games to be released in 2010, ready for 2011!

As the rubble relentlessly piles down from above, the aim of each level is to dynamite your way through all the rocks in a limited time and collect as many jewel points as possible along the way. This is accomplished by simply tapping blocks of the same type then blowing them away with a second hit. Blocks must be along side at least one of the same type for them to be removed, so an addictive mix of agility and strategy comes into play as you re-arrange the rocks to set up bigger and better combos. Your score increases as you explode rocks and bag more and more precious jewels. If enough rubble is cleared and you have collected a booty of jewels before the time runs out, a tunnel door is uncovered, and you can move in to tackle the next level.

20 different levels each with 3 difficulty settings - and all with a high score table - and the ultimate ending!
Dozens of rocks and jewels to detonate and collect including Granite, Iron ore, Pumice, Diamonds and Emeralds.
Exciting Bonus items to collect Find the special Bonus to randomly remove all of one block type from the screen, or destroy all nearby blocks with the powerful Big Bomb Explosion!
Block control: Finger click scaled on touch or blocks moved laterally across screen.
Special effects: Explosions, twinkle animation, timer, screen shaking, spinning question marks for a Mystery bonus - all add stunning visual impact to game play.
Original music composition and Stereo Sound FX.
Game Save or Pause to play later or with friends.

Manic, explosive, mentally challenging and fun, Rubble Muddle is a thrilling race against the clock when played alone or against other gamers - and a seriously addictive experience for both the casual and serious gamer alike. As you move up the difficulty settings, your strategic thinking and visual reaction will be tested to the extreme.

Game Impressions

I grabbed it. A cute concept but I have issues with what I hope is a bug in this initial release being that once you complete the final of the 16 levels, the game just keeps going, taking you back to level 1. If it just wants to re-use the levels, that's one thing, but as this game let's you retry any level as much as you need to until you get past it and the difficulty of this level 1 is so clearly the exact same as I had experienced when first starting the game, it renders the game kind of uselessly endless with a meaningless score that you can only post once you decide to quit the game (the game even will let you save and exit, so you really need to choose the option to Exit (abort) the current game to post your final score).

2/5 (I'd jump this up to 4/5 if they address this nasty bug)

Wow! This game has me playing for hours...even my Girlfriend enjoys it!

Nice sound track, some cool explosion effects, addictive Gameplay.

For me, it's not a big problem that it wraps around to level 1 after competing level 16. I just exit and restart on the next difficulty setting...I'm kinda finding Hard...quite hard though.

Are you the developer of the game?

If so, it looks like a fun matrix puzzler-- I like the color scheme.
