Praised as an "addictive and attractive" and "very well executed" game (WiiWorld), Wild West Guns is now available for your iPhone.

Set in a Western environment, Wild West Guns brings back all the fun of carnival and arcade shooters:

 18 challenges featuring typical Far West environments (saloons, deserts, stables, trains, etc.)

 Diverse targets and enemies (cowboys, sheriffs, signs, flying sombreros, balloons, vultures)

 Interactive backgrounds that allow you to shoot elements in the environment to earn more points

 Extended lifespan thanks to 5 different game modes

 Exclusive weapons available only in this iPhone version: enjoy using the shotgun for extended damage and the machine gun to blast the background

 Use the touch screen to aim and shoot and the accelerometer to free yourself from the grip of an enemy

You’ll need some extraordinary speed and precision to become the fastest gun in the West!

Recommended for fans of shooting games and arcade games.

It's most likely a port of their WiiWare game, details over here.
What seemed middling on the console might work much better on a portable platform like the iPhone.

An implementation of shooting as in Silent Hill where one uses the accelerometer to aim and tapping the back of the phone with a finger to "pull the trigger" may create a better challenge and a closer "gun" simulation than simply tapping the screen.
