I noticed a new Tetris clone called Communist Blocks. I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet. Here is the link: Communist Blocks
It's currently free. |

why's it even called "communist blocks"? it screams out "tetris", but with a shoddy interface. it's like the college drop-out of tetris. and only one screenshot, which is the title screen?! really?! ugh...

Yeah. The one screen shot doesn't fill me with confidence either. But I'll reserve judgement until I've actually tried it. It might be OK. I'm old enough to remember and to have played the original version of tetris. Tetris was originally created by a Russian, Alexey Pajitnov, while he was working at the Computer Centre in the Russian Academy of Science. So I thought the name of this tetris clone is rather a clever play on words.

how long do you think it'll be before the Tetris COmpany removes this game?
I'll give it 2-3 days |

![]() And yeah, the Tetris company is going to pull this clone off the store. As well they should. Hurray for IP, and hurray for America. Pajitnov didn't see a dime of the Tetris profits for the first TEN YEARS of its existence. |

Pretty messed up name...
Worth a try though since I have been longing for a free tetris clone because I didn't get to download tris. |
