App description: Opetopic presents IsoWords, the iPhone's first word search game wrapped onto a cube. Find as many English words as you can in the 3x3x3 cube in the allotted time to rack up points. The only catch is that the third time a letter is used, its cube is removed and the letters inside are revealed.

Hey All, the update to IsoWords is out, and in celebration, it's now $0.99! (the free version is still free )

For those that haven't checked it out already, you connect adjacent letters to form words, similar to Boggle, but the twist with Isowords is that the letters are on a 3D cube. When any letter is used 3 times, the piece is destroyed and the cube erodes, revealing more letters!

Local multiplayer, global leaderboards AND daily challenges have been added in this update. Now you can play friends in 3 different gameplay modes, sort your high scores to show only friends on Facebook/Twitter, and respond to the daily challenge that lets everyone compete by playing the same puzzle. Also, as requested, IsoWords now uses a standard Scrabble "Sowpods" word list.

Check it out and let us know what you think in this thread. Also, head over to the TA contest thread to join in and win a promo code!

Quite a lot of fun. I've added the #isowords hashtag to TweetDeck, but we need more people playing and sharing their scores as chalenges!

For sure, the challenges are great! You can make one via Twitter, Facebook or email and all your friend needs to do is click the link from their iPhone/iPod Touch. IsoWords will launch the exact puzzle that the challenger played on your friends device... and they'll have a chance to "lay the smack down" as it were, and post a rebuttal score.

Picked this up again - hadn't played it in a while. It really is fun.

The daily challenge is great! I played that and am now itching to play tomorrow's game. I also e-mailed a challenge to a friend who just picked up Isowords, so hopefully we'll get a good battle going over some games :-). I definitely think this is a great word game. I like the leaderboards and the ability to look at my own scores. I also like that I can challenge someone else to a previous game I've played, or even replay it to see if I can do a better job. Very nice.

My only "issues" are sometimes I can't quite tell a block is "hanging" and isn't really available to be played (i.e. trying to connect letters from first to last row, middle row is gone but doesn't look that way). Guess I need to do a better job playing it to make sure I don't get myself into that situation. Also, because I'm focused on creating words quickly, the beeps almost sound the same to me, so not always sure if the word was just a duplicate or a bad word... Those are pretty minor concerns for the great gameplay that is here.

Overall, super word game. Definitely a keeper.
