iOS 8 Compatibility

We have confirmed a bug that prevents in-game sound from functioning properly on devices running iOS 8.

To work around this issue, players are asked to simply access the Notification Center while playing by swiping down from the top of the screen. After doing so, game sound will function properly.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope you continue to enjoy playing our game.

FINAL FANTASY II

FINAL FANTASY II is highly anticipated follow-up to the original FINAL FANTASY, released in Japan in 1988.

The game features the bitter and beautiful tale of four war-orphaned heroes who become embroiled in a conflict between the hostile Empire of Palamecia and the rebel resistance. By eschewing conventional leveling for a proficiency system that allows players to tailor their characters' growth and incorporating a key term memory system that makes dialogue integral to gameplay, this game sparked the spirit of innovation for which the series has become known.

This release also contains the bonus dungeons added to later editions of the game--the Soul of Rebirth and the Arcane Labyrinth.

ESRB Rating: E10+ with Alcohol Reference, Mild Fantasy Violence, Mild Language and Mild Suggestive Themes

Is beating Final Fantasy 1 needed to understand the story of this one?

No, each final fantasy installments carries a different storyline and world. It's a totally new game.

Does Final Fantasy 2 have as many random battles as Final Fantasy 1? I'm really liking the first one but all the random battles are kind of annoying after a while (I have never played a Final Fantasy game before). Just want to know that to see if I should get the second one. Thanks.

While I've only played the NES version, there aren't as many random battles in FF II and the game storyline moves faster (though it's also a shorter game as a result). I think you'd like it.

I really hope they go for FF III as well. That is still the best in the series, IMHO.

Been thoroughly enjoying this game myself, especially as it was the one FF game I had never played completely through

Also in case anyone has been wondering about the hidden card game in the snowmobile area: Shake your device

I guess Square figured we'd get frustrated tapping the ipod/iphone and just throw the it someplace and then be rewarded with it opening up :P
