had it for awhile but didn't play it at all. put it backed to my phone cause the update, than i realized this game will be better with a virtual joystick when walking on the map

There is a virtual joystick sdmiracle. You can choose it in the options.

So everybody, the bug pointed out by chickdigger802 has been fixed and the update will start appearing in the App Store soon (it was just approved). This will not fix you old save states that were created with dead players, as the information to reconstruct them is not available. It should however prevent the problem from happening again.

This just got updated to version 1.7 with the following new features:

* iPad support (universal binary)
* Vibrate when entering battle on iPhone
* Mutes with mute switch on iPad/iPhone
* Colors are now correct
* Fixed issues with auto saves, now much more reliable
* Added auto orientation option
* Many bugfixes and minor feature enhancements

One that sports one of the best combat/character developement systems among iOS JRPGs, for sure!
I was really missing this aspect when playing the otherwise excellent Crimson Gem Saga, Ash and now Phantasy Star 2 (OK, it is very old and at least you can just basically auto-fight most non-challenging encounters). I am not sure if Chaos Rings can compare either, but maybe I am just not far enough.

New version! 1.8 is out and there are some nice new features. The first thing you may notice is the download size is a lot bigger now. I guess that could be a con but the music and sound effects are now in full quality (in fact the sound effects have been replaced completely with great new ones) so I think it's definitely a pro. There are 3 language translations in addition to English now: German, Spanish, and Polish. One of the features I really like is the new character portraits. Besides those things there are many other tweaks, polished bits, bug fixes and other improvements. It's a pretty good update.

Based on the video it looks a little unpolished but really fun! I'll probably give this a shot.
