What kind of money system in TDs?

What kind of money system in TDs?

I guess everybody here has Plants Vs Zombies. The money collection method is different than those in normal TDs, where sunflowers generate sun for you, or they fall from the sky during the day.

In normal TDs, money is collected by killing enemies.

Which do you prefer? The Plants Vs Zombies way or the normal TD way?

I suppose it would be cool to have an item like the sunflower plant used in PvZ in traditional TD's More TD games should add something like that that will generate $ or multiplies it in addition to the regular way of earning.

But really, as long as the game feels balanced then it doesn't matter.

I prefer whatever makes most sense for the specific game, since this is PLANTS vs Zombies the idea of using sunlight to generate more plants was perfect.

hm, Crystal Defenders had a "thief" who multiplied gold by 2x-3x (depends on level) in picked area. You can even do shenningans like throwing around him crystals to increase range, add Slow Mages and such area became money mine.
