Zombie Infection by Gameloft

I just came across this article a few minutes ago on SlideToPlay:

http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/zom...nds-on-preview

Apparently, Gameloft is making a new Resident Evil 5 style shooter that seems like it'll be almost exactly like the real thing. In addition, you can dismember your zombie opponents with well placed shots.

The article says that it should be due at the end of the month. No other info as of yet on any specific dates, nor are there any screens or gameplay videos yet.

UPDATE: Screens out today. It looks like it will be like Resident Evil where you have to stop moving in order to be able to shoot zombies, and then put it away to continue moving.

UPDATE 2: TouchArcade's front page article from GDC: http://toucharcade.com/2010/03/10/gd...bie-infection/

UPDATE 3: After a load of confusion, it's confirmed on STP and TouchGen's twitter pages that the game IS coming out on Monday, May 10th, meaning that at 8:00 A.M. EST on May 9th, it will be out in New Zealand.

Yeah, unfortunately there's no screens or video up yet. None of the Gameloft games that STP previewed today have any up yet. I'm sure they'll show up soon.

And with Gameloft's track record of awesome online shooters, I'd be extremely surprised if this didn't have any co-op.

Yeah, they said that the Splinter Cell: Conviction screenshots would come tomorrow (http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/tom...nds-on-preview) so I assume the screenshots for this game will come tomorrow as well.

This is a TPS. It's going to be over the shoulder gameplay. It's not confirmed if it's a run and gun kind of game like BIA1 or Terminator, or walk, stop, and shoot like Resident Evil Degeneration and 4.

was VERY FUN with BIG and horror Spiders

the last boss was the biggest spider of city

I watched some gameplay and it seemed pretty fun, but this is going to blow that one away.

I guess we won't be seeing Resident Evil Uprising then... which from the looks of things is a mobile isometric version of RE2.

The one thing I've always wanted to see in a serious zombie game... Now I REALLY can't wait for the iPhone one. Hopefully it'll have the same awesome idea.
