How will this game emotionally affect me once Paddy's day is over?

About as close to Tile Storm that this game is, is that it stars Eggbot and it has sliding tiles. While some of the levels are easier, some are more complex - not harder mind you - just more complex. In Tile Storm you had to complete the entire route for Eggbot to travel, here in many cases Eggbot makes it to a checkpoint if you will, and then you reuse the tiles for him to move along to the next point. I have played both the normal and the easy and I must say they are quite fun. In many levels there is also a hidden picture. Not sure if anyone has mentioned that. (or if anyone noticed!) There is a scrambled photo in the background somewhere that you move the tiles around to find. There is much more to this game than meets the eye.
The game has an Irish theme but then again Eggbot is traveling the country of Ireland. Sure it's in time for St Patrick's day, but for heavens sake who does not like an egg dressed as a leprechaun collecting coins? The theme is perfect for the collecting of coins and has staying power well beyond the holiday that is approaching and in my mind is just a coincidence. This adventure of Eggbot just oozes with the love and affection by a very devoted developer and has a lot of cute touches as I mentioned. The tiles move smoothly over grass. There is so much more to it than a few brief sentences can convey. Perhaps those of you who have played the game a little longer by now can have post more impressions with some of the hidden features you have found. Great job Andrew, please don't get discouraged, there are many of us who love and value the work you do. |

I haven't posted my impressions because I keep saying 'one more level'!
Fantastic game - so far a bit easier than Tilestorm because I haven't run into sticky tiles yet! I love the theme - Irish music, beautiful green graphics. I would say the association with St Patrick's Day is because of the timing of the release. This is a game I will keep coming back to - long after 17 March! Thank you, Andrew, and PLEASE keep up the good work! |

Since this is the new EIA thread, I will repost this here:
I'm beta testing EIA and have completed the game and I can say with certainty that if you enjoyed TileStorm, you will definitely enjoy Eggbot's new adventure. And if you found TileStorm to be too difficult at times, EIA has an easy mode. This way, you can learn the levels and figure out the paths and then try your hand at the hard mode. There are also new sliding tile pictures built into several levels, which offers extra fun and gaming, but they do not need to be completed in order to beat the level. It's great to see Eggbot in a new, bright and colorful world and will present a challenge that's casual gamer friendly. It'll be a great St. Pattys Day gaming treat. And if you still haven't tried the original TileStorm, you're missing out. Don't forget that 10 surrender flags have been added in a recent update to help you get past the trickier levels and come back to finish them later on. Overall, Eggbot's Irish Adventure is another great Massive Hadron product well worth the $1.99! I still encourage people who continue to be frustrated with the more difficult levels in TileStorm to play around with some of the easier sticky tile levels in Industrial. There is logic to the way tiles move. They are not stuck together to annoy you, rather to add more dimension and complexity to the game. Columns and rows move together and cannot be pushed right/left/up/down if there is a tile at the end of a row/column. Do your best to understand how the tiles move because this will make the game so much more enjoyable for you. It is not a mindless game - it requires thought and strategy. IMO, this is a good thing. EIA is just as polished and well made as TileStorm. This game is created by a developer who really cares about the finished product. I really hope people can be more open minded and help support Massive Hadron because it really would be great to see more Eggbot adventures in the future. |

Eggbots Irish Adventure as mentioned by some people already has lots to offer. Of course it is based on the original TileStorm but thats a great thing!
I dont understand any of the 'more of the same' comments because if you are like me and enjoy traditional puzzle games such as crosswords or Sudoko you keep playing them again and again because of the challenges they have to offer. you dont stop doing them after the first few. With Eggbots Irish Adventure you know what you are getting but the experience is different evey time with even more added features ( though I wont spoil it and give things away!). This is an enhanced and finely tuned game which magnifies the fun of the original. The new features will just add to the experience right up to the last level. I am sure you will be wanting even more by that stage!

Love Tilestorm - I thought that the icon looked a bit familiar.
Will pick this one up. |
