Please don't make any compromises. If anything you can release a sd version and a hd version for the way the game was originally intended to be rather than lump both together causing a huge file size. This is only if you decide to cut any corners to allow older devices to play.

You should release it alongside the "new" iPod Touches and iPhones as then you are able to advertise it as the first game truly optimised for said devices, what a nice selling point. But that does depend on the new devices getting the new A5 or A5x chipset.

Hopefully the iPod Touch will because we got, more or less, F**K all last year, except it came in white.
