Animating Codes

If im starting a game, is it straight codes, or do you have to program it to walk and stuff like on gamemaker (if you have ever tried that)

Depends on what you use. If you just use the iphone SDK, you have to program everything. I recommend just trying to compile and run the sample programs to start learning. And you need a mac.

wait wait wait

I went to this website called game salad, and i could dowload a thing that lets you make phone games.. i could dowload it on a PC... Why do you need a mac then
