XOR

I loved this game on the Amstrad CPC and even completed it. This game appears faithful so far. If you've not played it - all you need to do is get the masks. You do this by moving your shield around a maze. Once you have picked up the 4 parts of the maze map you can see everywhere but at the start you can only see what is onscreen which could be 1/16 of the map for example.

Ducks always fly left.
Fish always drop down.
Dolls move in the direction you push them until something stops them
Bombs explode in exactly the same way every time.

So where's the puzzle? There might be a bomb blocking a gap to get a shield so you need to drop the fish on it (that's drop, not slide on top) and that fish is a room away. So find things in other rooms to help make the path along which to push the fish. But you can only move one thing at a time...

No reaction time is needed.

But.........
No music in-game but you can play your own
No way to go back to the main screen that I have found
No hidden anagram in the level completes (would have been nice for us oldies)
Control. swipe is one move, tap is one move. I just did the first level in 1086 so I tapped more than that
No high score / low moves.

For me it's a little bit of my gaming history.

(I give up trying to make the store links. Please can someone make a button for the posts?)

XOR! That takes me back! I think I saw it on the BBC micro though. One of the earliest computer games I remember seeing, so it definitely has the added tint of nostalgia .

I seem to remember sneakily trying to play it in our computer labs...

Yeah here it is. Wow, I haven't accessed this part of my brain for 20 years.

I love it when people revive crusty old software!
