      What happens when you give an app to someone who already owns that app?

      Good question.

      If the Catacombs guys are gifting the app, then I may be in this position - I already bought it, but signed up for the newsletter... (If they gift it to the itunes account associated with that email they will be re-buying it for me...)

      Seems the better way to do this is to go free+DLC then issue your own custom codes for people to redeem (Blokoban, iBumpy are recent examples of this)

      Think about what you just asked for a moment........If I purchased an app and could give it to my friend for free then what's the point of both of us purchasing the same app?
