I reserved it, but that's pretty much like pre-ordering, except you show up and don't pay before you buy it. It's not like I'm waltzing in and hope I happen to get one. Anyway, it doesn't take as long to just visit the store.

I'm not going for an Ipad, I saw a really good review
on youtube of a guy referring to Ipad as a giant swiss
army knife that won't fit into your pocket, while iPhone still does.
I don't find the bigger resolution to be worth that much money alone,
I'd rather spend them on a pretty mediocre laptop instead..

.. On the OTHER hand designing games for IPad is a whole different deal,
the boost in resolution will take away some of the restrictions that are
applied on IPhones

Actually, I ordered a 3GS for my mom (to surprise her) so she could get rid of her 1st gen model, and it came a day early. So we got it one day before launch.

I'm going to wait until after I get the iPhone HD until I decide about getting an iPad. I probably wouldn't get it for apps though, I kind of want it for instant browsing in my bed and it will help preserve the battery life on my iPhone.

Pre-ordered the first 2 hours it went on sale on the 12th. I just checked the tracking information and it's on a plane from China to NY right now.
