I was very curious about this title when I saw it in the appstore, but the screenshots looked just amazing, and I had to purchase.

The Game

Ancient Frog is a wholly original puzzle game. The aim is to move your frog from one end of the board to the other. You can only move one leg at a time, and only one foot can rest on a particular point at a time.

There's no time limit - you can take your time considering your next move and watching the gentle interplay of light and shadow across the screen.

There's no maximum number of moves - however circuitous a route you take to the goal, you'll unlock that puzzle.

A target number of moves is provided, if you want to aim for a perfect solution. But achieving that perfect solution will sometimes require fiendishly twisted thinking!

I realize the appstore description doesn't offer much detail into how this game works and how you actually get through the levels, so I'm going to try and explain it as best I can.

In each level you are a presented with a leaf with water drops on it, a big frog and a fly or bug. Four of the water drops on the leaf have the prints/tracks of the four legs of your frog, your goal in the game is to position the legs of the frog on to their respective water drop. The challenge is putting the legs on other "neutral" water drops by stretching them and being able to put all of them on their respective track. The legs only stretch a limited amount, the frogs legs stretch more than the frogs arms (Because they are shorter).

I hope I made the gameplay clear, It's kinda tough for me to explain it. Anyways, the graphics of this game are in my opinion a huge selling point, the frog is fully animated, you can stretch all the legs realistically.

gameplay video would be much appreciated, as it looks like a great game and as usual, a video of gameplay usually seals the deal for me...

Well, yeah, it's also quite relaxing. you have an ideal number of frog movements and if you do too many moves the flower in the menu will not be perfect. So you can finish all the levels quickly and then come back and see if you can finish them all with the least number of moves possible

Graphics look amazing and it seems like a nice puzzle game.

But for $5, i need to see a video or check out a lite version.
