Sam & Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone (Full Port From PS3/PC/Mac)

Sam & Max: The Penal Zone is an impressive game. I've heard of the series, but I have never played a Sam & Max game before. They are released episodicly, an there will be another four episodes. As a matter of fact, this was actually released before the PS3, PC, and Mac versions of this episode come out, and this is the full episode. Rich with animations and cutscenes that are fully rendered on the iPad. Easily some of the best graphics and production levels in the App Store.

Wow. The price already dropped? This is the first time that I'm a little annoyed by an App Store price drop. I bought the game less than twelve hours ago.

Yes the old lucas arts games would be great...but this is a different developer.

At 6.99 I am willing to dive into S&M. Thank you Telltale for realizing that 9.99 was too much.

From the telltale forum:

Hi all

For getting best performance, we suggest you have the game as the only app running. As a 3D game with richer graphics, it'll be smoothest if you don't have other apps running at the same time.

1. Hold down the sleep/wake button at the top of the device for a few seconds until the screen displays the message 'slide to power off.'
2. Power off the device by moving the slider.
3. Hold down the sleep/wake button again until the device powers back on.
4. When the home screen is displayed, relaunch the game

That is great but I hope there will be a better solution. It would be a pain to have to reboot each time I wanted to play your game. However it is great that you have at least a partial solution so quickly.

Even after rebooting the performance still isn't that good. I would get it if you're planning to get it anyways for the discount, but if the price spikes up then just wait until they fix the performance issues, it's not worth the download right now...I'm planning to write a 2 star review in the AppStore.

...and is it really a discount I'm starting to wonder. How much is the PC version?

Don't have my iPad yet. Just bought due to the price drop. I also hope they'll fix the speed issues though.
