AirHockey = Full version without AD
AirHockey Gold = Full version with AD.

I had AirHockey and was thinking about downloading Gold.
This naming scheme is bad.
IMHO the best version should have a name that reflects that it's the best, and not the opposite ...

Hey everybody-

Air Hockey Gold is the newest release, but both are built from the same code & give you the same gameplay options. Air Hockey was around first and is a paid game, so it's keeping the Air Hockey name. Air Hockey Gold came out for the iPhone just before the iPad was released & is now upgraded to support the iPhone & iPad. Gold is the ad-supported version of Air Hockey.

From many people's point of view, Air Hockey Gold is the best - since it's free & still lets you play the full game. I guess it just depends on how you look at it.
