With almost no effort, you slide past the other racers and handle the bank with ease. Youre really good.

If racing gives you thrills and chills, Racing Mania is what you need. This app lets you climb behind the wheel and try the sport yourself. Think lightning fast micro machines with an arcade twist to get the idea of what youre in for. You can select from ten different cool car models. They may be two dimensional on the screen but each one has been designed from 3D models, for detail and accuracy. Pick your favorite and see how you do against the other nine.

Racing Mania is giving you the opportunity for a totally customized racing experience. Not only do you get to choose your vehicle but you can decide which track youre going to run, as well. Do you want to try your luck on a city track at night? Maybe youre feeling adventurous enough to take on a dirt track or futuristic route. Stick with one or play all 15 tracks. Its a great way to test and build your driving skills.

While youre concentrating hard on keeping control of the car as it travels at insane demon speeds, the app helps you keep your focus and momentum with some great background tunes. Each track has its own and theyve all been created by an experienced race app music composer, so you know these rock and metal tunes are really going to get your mojo revved.

There are three difficulty levels in Racing Mania but you have to finish normal before you can hit that track hard and race with the big boys. Learn to control your car and safely manage those curves to improve your technique and style. Keep practicing and youll get there.

At the end of a race, you may want to buy products that can help you. Pick up speed, acceleration and repairs at the shop to keep your vehicle in top condition and in the race.

Racers with Bluetooth technology will be delighted to know that they can enjoy a multiplayer competition. Grab three other people and see whose boasting of being the best driver is really true.

ok this is a quick update after racing on 2 tracks. Its worth the 2 bucks easy.

It looks really good. after seeing the intro video wich is really well done you can shut it off in the options so you dont have to sit through it every time you start the game.

I think the directional buttons are way to close to each other and it is really tough to turn at the right time. If you have really big fingers this could be a problem. I dont know if that is what makes it seem like there are a lot of dead spots when trying to turn, because those buttons are so close or it is something else.

really needs a horizonal mode. But it is really fun, has a lot of different tracks and cars and is really worth the money. The steering problems could just be me. Will have to play it a while more and see.

So far I am not that impressed but maybe other people will like it more than I do.

It seems that you can only play the game in portrait mode, so with a gas, brake and two directions on the bottom, things can get cramped. I didn't have any problem playing the game but if you have bigger hands, you may.

Controls seem to be good and responsive. I played through six races in the arcade mode and had no problems turning left or right but never needed to use the brake.

Graphics seem to be unpolished, especially the cars. They look okay in the car selection screen and when the race starts (okay not great) but once the race starts you get a birds eye view of the race and the overall experience is fairly bland. The environments, look good but since the focus is on the cars, I was a little let down by the graphics. Another small thing is the text, again it is just not very polished.

I am guessing that a lot of the game size comes from the start up movie. You can not skip it the first time but you can turn it off in the options.

There is an upgrade shop and three modes of play, practice, arcade and network but so far I have only messed with the arcade mode.

Again, it is not a bad game but I am not that impressed, maybe someone else will point out some of the positive that I may have missed.

The cars have no sound, that's what made me mad so far

Game Impressions

Backgrounds are lovely and scroll very fast and smooth. Cars are slightly blocky but fit nicely onto the screen.

Biggest issues for me are the "overly grippy" handling (I wanted a bit of drifting etc) and the closeness of the steering buttons. With more realistic physics and perhaps slowing it down a bit this would be a great game.

It was a good idea for them to get it out before Deliverace though.
