Reminds me of a scene from J.J. Abram's Star Trek.

Why Pataya? Is he diving down to a donkey show or something?

Incidentally, this looks like it might be similar to that Alice's Adventures down the Rabbit hole game, maybe?

Default Game Impressions

I usually don't dig this kind of endurance game, but there was something about the colorful graphics (and the rock bottom price) that prodded me to give it a chance. I can report that it does look very nice and runs very smoothly on a 3GSs. The tilt controls work great, too. Nevertheless, the game is just a bit too thin for my taste. There's no animation to the main character, all the obstacles behave exactly the same (with only superficial differences), and hitting one of them abruptly leads to an end screen -- no crashing animation. The gameplay would improved dramatically if:

* Jimmy Pataya tilted one way or the other when moving. It would be great if his clothing somehow rippled with the wind
* There was a way to dive and temporarily increase speed.
* There were breakable obstacles that would reduce speed (but perhaps knock back the score)
* There were any kind of power up or bonus items (which could be incorporated into a challenge system)
* The game could be broken up into levels, perhaps with some cosmetic differences, and/or different collectable items

As it, you see everything there is to the game within 10-15 seconds.

Your suggestions are great, thanks for sharing. Actually, we have some of those on our own wish list as well. Good to hear that you think those would improve the game too.

Another item that we have on our list is OpenFeint integration, and we actually started on that today. Looking good so far!

'Jimmy Pataya' is now 'New and Noteworthy' in the US App Store!

Also, we're planning to submit an update later this week, including iPad support and OpenFeint highscores and achievements.
