App description: Destroy a mortal or try to survive the wrath of God as long as possible. Classic game turned into an awesome two player game.

Are you the Master of Blocks against AI opponent and your friends. See who can master the blocks.

When you play with a friend using Bluetooth, the other player plays God and the other one plays mortal.

TC2's comments:
Always wanted to be the one who decides the next block? Now is your chance to give your friend line blocks, when he cannot use them.

Includes a normal single-player Tetris clone also.

This is one of the most interesting concepts for a game I have seen. By chance, was this based off of College Humor's "The Tetris God" video?

Also, can you post a video of an AI battle? Or somebody else, rate the AI intelligence?

Yes, it was based off of the Tetris God Video.

The AI is quite simple in the first version. It uses a simple evaluation function to calculate a score for each possible move. You can check the source code, if you want from here : http://tuomaspelkonen.com/code/cpu.lua

The evaluation function adds 10 points for a cleared row, subtracts 1 point for each hole created, and the height of the pile has also a weight of one.

I will post a video of the AI soon.

Hmm... Could you implement local multiplayer? If you do, I'm buying this immediately. I'm really not a big fan of bluetooth multiplayer, you see. Just personal preference.

Sure, I can do that in the next version. Any other feature requests

Hmm... Well, now that you ask, a universal or HD version would be nice. Not that I expect it.

But yeah, I really can't say anything until I get my hands on this. What are the controls for the mortal?

Actually I was planning to release a HD version for the iPad, but with Apple's decision to officially not include Lua as an accepted programming language, I probably won't bother.

The controls are : tap to rotate (you can select CW or CCW), swipe down to do a hard drop, and swipe/move sideways to move the block horizontally.

You should really be careful with the game. It looks too similar to Tetris.

I know, and I am aware of what happened to Tris. My game is already somewhat against the rules, by using Lua, so if EA comes knocking, I wouldn't be surprised, if it gets pulled out of the App Store quickly. However, I don't think I will sell enough copies to get noticed by EA lawyers.

Funny thing is that EA actually uses Lua in some of its own iPhone games.
