Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! - by Venan (devs of Space Miner)

Quote:
Shawnimals creator Shawn Smith teams up with Space Miner developers Venan Entertainment again for a second Ninjatown game. This time it's an iPhone and iPod Touch title in the mold of games like Doodle Jump, only with cute little ninjas and flying mustaches.

Understandably, Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! shares a very similar aesthetic to Smith's previous DS game. The crisp, simple lines of the Ninjatown artwork translate very well to the iPhone’s screen, and the gameplay has been designed specifically for the device. "The basic idea is that you control a Wee Ninja who you move between two trees. The ultimate goal is to get as far up the tree as you can while dodging obstacles and avoiding bad guys. In that regard, it shares a lot with Doodle Jump, but instead of being a tilt-based control scheme, you do everything here with simple swipes and flicks on the touch screen." As well as simply jumping from branch to branch, players can launch the Wee Ninja further up the tree by bending back flexible branches and catapulting the little guy skyward. There are also power ups that let the ninja fly, such as the on the crest of the "mucho macho Moustachio." Which is...yes, just as it sounds...a flying mustache.

Awesome! I was hoping for the TD from DS though... So the devs of Space Miner and Ninjatown are the same?

Really spent a lot of time playing Ninjatown on the DS. Can't wait to see what the ninjas are up to now!

Currently playing: Juggle, Monster Dash, Infect Them All, Tilt to Live
Can't wait for: Sword & Sorcery EP, Knight's Rush, Reckless Racing

According to Pocketgamer the game uses Plus+ and should be out in the next couple of weeks, priced at $1.99, 1.59 or 1.19.
